On the day of the beginning of spring, the Ministry of Health of the Nation reported that there are 8,782 newly infected with coronavirus and the deceased totaled 429 in the last 24 hours.

With these records, there are 640,147 positives in the country since the pandemic began.

While at the moment the number of deceased people is 13,482.

The province of Buenos Aires, with 3,700 positives, was the region with the most cases on Monday, followed by Santa Fe, with 1,215.

Meanwhile, the health portfolio reported that the fatality rate of the virus is 2.1% and the general mortality reaches 288 people per million inhabitants, with an average age of 72 years.

Currently there are 3,261 people with a confirmed diagnosis of coronavirus who need care in intensive care units.

"We must work very hard to prevent cases in the most active people and interrupt these transmission chains to indirectly protect those who are at higher risk of complications and death," said the Secretary of Access to Health, Carla Vizzotti.

All provinces had new cases in the last two weeks and the positivity reached 49.4% at the country level.

The good news is that 498,379 people who had the virus, recovered

and were discharged, and represent 78.9% of all positive cases.

As of this week, the way of communicating data on the pandemic in the country changed.

Up to now, two were carried out per day: the first, between 9 and 10 in the morning, in which the partial number of deaths, tests and discharges were reported.

Then another in the afternoon, between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., detailing other partial number of deaths, total cases of the day and occupation of intensive care beds.

Starting this week, this Covid-19 Epidemiological Report (REDEC) will be a single one, which will unify the data every 24 hours.

It will be broadcast every day at 7 p.m. with the total number of cases and deaths for the day, in addition to the information on discharges, bed occupancy and tests.

This September 21 was a different Spring Day.

With few students celebrating it in the parks, in groups of less than ten people and respecting social distancing and the use of masks.
