Brawl last night in the Torresina park, on the outskirts of Rome, where a girl had gone with a group of friends for a midnight toast for her 18 years.
"When we sat down at the table, just before midnight, a group of boys and girls started to bother us - says a 17-year-old friend of the birthday girl - after several requests to move further we decided to leave, but a girl started pulling hair to a friend of mine. A friend of ours who tried to separate them was kicked and punched even when he was on the ground. He was taken to hospital because they broke his nose. Another man's lip was broken . There were about twenty, maybe even smaller than us. I had never seen them. When they heard that my friend's mother was calling 112 they ran away - she remembers - The way things were going could have been worse ".
The carabinieri intervened on the spot and are at work to identify the participants in the 'scuffle'.
These are mainly minors.
