Seven races, six different winners.

The double appointment at Misano confirmed that the fight for the 2020 MotoGP world championship will be very open until the end.

Sunday at Montmelò the turning point and many contenders for victory.

The classification speaks for itself: from Andrea Dovizioso's 84 points to Alex Rins's 44 points, 12 riders can dream big.

Last but not least Valentino Rossi, 26 points behind the leader.

On the Catalan track he is as comfortable as in Tavullia.

There he collected an impressive streak of podiums, 13 years long: from 1997 to 2009. At Montmelò he won 10 times (7 in the premier class, the last in 2016), five came second and one third.

This explains why, despite the crash that closed his race at Misano, he feels fully inside the fight for the title: "It will be important to bring home points. I'm not that far from the top of the standings and the championship is still open. The season so far has been really crazy and there are still many races before the end ".

In the double appointment in Emilia Romagna Dovizioso collected only a seventh and an eighth place.

Thus his advantage was reduced to just one point over the Yamaha Quartararo-Vinales pair and to four over Joan Mir (Suzuki).

In catalonia he won in 2017 and is now waking up the Ducati Team: "Let's try to see the positive side of the Misano races - says the Forlì - I'm in the lead, even if the fight is very open. We still lack speed and to play for it. we can't waste any more time for the title. We'll have to adapt to the Montmeló asphalt which will certainly have less grip than the Misano one and this could prove to be a determining factor for everyone. "

"Montmeló is my home race and I love to race here - says Vinales, winner of last Sunday - I have done great races here in the past. We are working in the right way and I think we can improve further, so we have to give our all and do another good race weekend. The top of the world championship is so close ... ".
