VIDEO. Coronavirus: three alert zones and new restrictions

The Minister of Health unveiled new restrictions for the territories hardest hit by the coronavirus. In Marseille,


France is not reconfined but some of its inhabitants will see their daily life disrupted again.

During his press briefing on Thursday, the Minister of Health unveiled a new classification of the epidemic situation in the country.

In these “Alert Zones”, divided into three categories (Alert-Reinforced Alert-Maximum Alert), new restrictions will be put in place to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

In Bordeaux, Paris and its inner suburbs, Toulouse, Saint-Etienne, Grenoble, Montpellier, Rennes, Rouen, Lyon and Nice, less restrictive measures will be put in place.

Gatherings of more than 10 people in public spaces are prohibited and gymnasiums and sports halls will have to close their doors.

Bars cannot close after 10 p.m.

In Marseille and Guadeloupe, where the circulation of the virus is the strongest, bars and restaurants will have to close their doors for at least 15 days.
