(ANSA) - SASSARI, 24 SEPT - The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, arrived in Sassari to participate in the commemoration ceremony of Francesco Cossiga, organized by the University, for the tenth anniversary of the death of the former Head of State. Landing at Alghero airport, he went to the University where he was welcomed by the rector, Massimo Carpinelli.
After the ceremony, around 12 noon Mattarella will go to the cemetery in private form to pay homage to the graves of the two Sassari presidents, Antonio Segni and, in fact, FrancescoCossiga. At 1 pm his departure for Rome is scheduled. (HANDLE).
