In the cathedral of Lecce, the funeral of Daniele De Santis from Salento killed on the evening of last September 21 with his girlfriend stabbed in the buildings where they lived.
The funeral of the girl, Eleonora Manta, will be celebrated in the afternoon in Seclì (Lecce) her hometown.
The 33-year-old's coffin made its entrance between two wings of young aspiring race directors of the Lecce section of which Daniele belonged.
They wear a white T-shirt with the image of Daniele busy on a field imprinted with the words: "Here there is everything to say that you are there. Have a good trip and then, rest if you can".
The funeral ceremony is officiated by the Archbishop of Lecce Monsignor Domenico Seccia. There are numerous representatives of the referees association led by Marcello Nicchi, national president of Aia, Danilo Giannoccaro and Luigi Nasca, members of the referee commission series A, Antonio D'Amato referee designator series C and Paolo Prato president of Aia Lecce.
Entry to the cathedral is forbidden to journalists and cameramen at the behest of the family.
