Sony has now revealed the price for the Playstation 5.
Some dealers lure with offers where the console is cheaper.
But caution is advised.
Sony and Microsoft have set the same price for their next-gen consoles: Both the Xbox Series X * and the Playstation 5 * cost around 500 euros.
For most gamers this is okay - at least that shows the high demand that already existed before the release of the consoles.
Shortly after the start of pre-orders, the PS5 was already sold out.
Many Playstation fans are still left empty-handed.
Some providers take advantage of this and lure with offers where the PS5 is apparently to be had at an absolute bargain price.
But if you take a closer look, it quickly becomes clear that it won't be that cheap after all.
Buy PS5 for 5 euros: that's behind the offer
As well as colleagues from ingame.de report, the energy provider more fare options offering Sparstrom.de to where a
PS5 for a one-time surcharge of 4
,
95 euros
is promised.
You won't find the console so cheap anywhere else.
But what is seemingly saves,
you pay the monthly gas

or electricity price on it
.
On the offer page, interested parties can enter their postcode and city as well as the number of people living in the household.
The monthly tariff is then calculated - this is usually around 60 euros.
And since the
minimum contract period is 24 months
, this adds up to a very high sum that exceeds the actual price of 500 euros for the PS5.
The website also states that delivery on time for the November release cannot be guaranteed.
So if you hope to be able to pre-order a PS5 this way, you should also keep this in mind.
If you still want to take advantage of the offer, you should always
include your current electricity price in the bill
.
In most cases, the price for the PS5 is
around 700 euros
- so no savings.
The advertised 4.95 euros for the console is just a deceptive lock offer.

Beware of eBay offers and fake shops
On the net, interested parties should generally be very skeptical about sites that offer the PS5.
After the pre-orders started, the console turned up
in numerous fake shops
.
It is therefore advisable to check with popular providers such as Amazon, Saturn, Media Markt and Co.
Even on eBay the PS5 is already offered - but to absolute
usury

Before you dig deep into your pockets for the console, you should rather wait until it is available again online or in stores after the release.
