The adoption of the final version of this "

" will indeed mark the starting point of a period of six months left to the site editors to adapt to the new instructions, before they are sanctioned for possible breaches.

Initially scheduled for early April, this step was postponed due to the health crisis and pending a decision from the Council of State.

The CNIL recommendation is not binding, but presents an adequate way of implementing the

regulator's “

” on cookies and other tracers adopted in July 2019 to comply with the European rules of the General Regulation on the protection of data. data (GDPR).

These rules determine how a site editor can obtain valid consent from “

”, which have become ubiquitous on the web, but often formulated in such a way as to encourage the Internet user to accept advertising targeting.

Generally, the targeting of an Internet user involves the deposit on his browser of a certain number of tracers, including advertising "cookies", digital cookies making it possible to identify, for example, his centers of interest.
