A unit of the Guardia di Finanza opened fire on a Tunisian fishing boat that did not stop at Alt and which, trying to escape, rammed a patrol boat.
The fishing boat "Mohanel Anmed", after the pursuit in international waters, was blocked by the soldiers of the Yellow Flames who are now taking it to Lampedusa (Ag).
According to what emerges in these very first and excited minutes, the fishing boat had dropped the nets about 9 miles (in Italian territorial waters) from the coast of Lampedusa (Ag). Control by the Coast Guard and the Financial Police was started, but the vessel not only did not stop but also rammed an Italian patrol boat. The chase in international waters started, during which, before boarding the fishing boat, many shots were fired.
