Pollution Recall: Regular warnings and stricter guidelines
Food recalls
* are not uncommon in Germany.
Foreign bodies in food
are the most common complaints.
For example, a hard cheese from Aldi was recently recalled because of plastic parts.
There is a risk of more drastic consequences
with a Rewe product: poisoning can occur here.
The caraway cheese at Real is therefore in good company.
If contamination and a health hazard is identified, the local
food control
facility reports
the relevant product to the
competent
state authority
.
Checked recall messages can be found on the portal Lebensmittelwarnung.de.
Here, consumers can keep up to date on recalls.
