The Political School "Living in the Community" was officially presented in Rome, founded and promoted by Professor Pellegrino Capaldo, together with numerous prominent personalities from the academic world such as professors Sabino Cassese, Paolo Boccardelli, Bernardo Mattarella and - among others - the presidents of Poste Italiane, ANSA (media partner), Enel, Sace, Simest and Compagnia di San Paolo.

During the presentation entitled "The skills needed by the country and the role of a Political School", Professor Sabino Cassese reiterated the importance of a non-partisan initiative aimed at increasing the preparation of young people: "The goal must be to seriously put the issue of skills back at the center, supporting the formation of a new ruling class and future administrators and managers prepared to face the complexity of our time, with a renewed sense of the institutions and with a new spirit of service to the whole community " .

The initiative therefore wishes to increase the preparation of the participants not only in the sphere of political competences, but also in managerial, professional, economic, civic and social ones.

The School, with the participants and the teaching staff, thus intends to contribute to the civil and political debate by elaborating analyzes on the problems that affect our country, trying to identify solutions to the critical issues related to the world of work, health, school, infrastructure and of the environment.

The School, free thanks to donations from partner companies, is characterized by an innovative teaching method: not only theoretical lessons, but also valuable training meetings between the selected participants and the most authoritative protagonists of the world of industry, culture, finance, civil society and the state.

Among these figures Carlo Messina, Managing Director and CEO of Intesa Sanpaolo, as lecturer - the Bank is the School's Main Sponsor - Stefano Lucchini, Chief Institutional Affairs and External Communication Officer Intesa Sanpaolo, member of the Supervisory Board, and representatives of Ferrovie dello State, Sky Italia, Ericsson, Bank of Italy, APCO, INWIT, CDP and Leonardo.

In recent weeks Mario Draghi, among the pupils of Professor Pellegrino Capaldo, has returned to talk about young people and their future, underlining how the best investment is that related to education and professional training.

On this issue Paolo Boccardelli, President of the Political School and Director of the Luiss Business School, underlined: "65% of the very young will carry out a job in the future that does not yet exist today: therefore it becomes even more fundamental to invest in skills and training, with the goal of creating the ruling class of the future.

The School also wants to contribute to regenerating the fabric of society, focusing on the person, on distinctive qualities and on values: to quote Pope Francis, helping young people to enter politics with a capital P ".
