"Clandestine, violent, serial drug dealers and bivouacs, who only make our city less safe, cannot claim any rights, they just have to go back to where they came from. For us they are neither resources nor people to be supplemented at our expense. I'm just a tumor to be eradicated ".
The mayor of Ferrara Alan Fabbri writes this in a post that is causing controversy, commenting on the news "of the rejection of 134 permits since the beginning of the year and 12 revocations of residence permits" in the Este city, "almost all for reasons linked to the social dangerousness and clandestinity of those who had asked for international protection ".
"If you ask for international protection you must deserve it, working honestly and making yourself useful to the community that hosts you", continues Fabbri, complimenting "the Chief of Police for these results and for having visibly intensified checks in the areas most frequented by these people" .
