Food recalls: metal, glass, or plastic contamination
Foreign bodies are one of the most common
complaints
about
food recalls
.
They are not to be underestimated, because
glass, metal or plastic parts
can lead to severe
internal bleeding and
injuries
and a
risk of suffocation
.
If contamination and a
health hazard is
identified, the local
food control
facility reports
the relevant product to the
competent
state authority
.
Checked recall reports can be found on the agency's online portal.
The fact that more and more food is being recalled is also due to
stricter controls and stricter requirements
.
A popular type of cheese at Real was also recalled because of foreign bodies.
If you eat a pastry at Rewe, there is even a risk of drastic health damage *, such as severe poisoning.
