Corona plague has a devastating effect on migraine patients who experience up to 50% more seizures, according to a new study by Healint.

A study of 300,000 patients in ten countries found an increase of up to 50% in migraine attacks in recent months, accompanied by closures, economic crises and various movement restrictions.

In another survey of more than 400 patients, there was a 60% increase in the number of seizures and 40% of the participants reported an increase in their intensity.

The increase is mainly attributed to the effects of stress and anxiety that accompany the period.

"Migraine is not a routine 'headache', but a disease for everything that disables its patients for the entire period of the attack. Sometimes the effect can last a whole day and even several days, including a recovery period," explained Dr. Roni Sharon, a neurologist and pain specialist and director The Headache and Facial Center at Sheba Hospital.

In this context, the study suggested several ways of preventive treatment.

Among other things, there are drugs that work on the unique protein involved in seizures.

In addition, the American Center for Disease Control (CDC), and the European Migraine Trade Unions (EHF, EMHA) have suggested some effective ways to deal with anxiety.

Among other things, it was recommended to make sure that there is a sufficient amount of pain relief medications given in consultation with a doctor, reduce the frequency of use of social networks, set an agenda, maintain a healthy diet and regular sleeping hours, exercise and talk to relatives.
