A new trio formation, light and distant, an indestructible repertoire and a great desire to continue playing live and bring his music to Italy and abroad: fresh from his Parisian debut in the historic jazz club Sunset Sunside Jazz,

Sergio Caputo

renews the his association with the Blue Note Milano, returning

on 11 October to the prestigious temple of Milanese music for the fourth consecutive time.

"I believe that, despite the unfortunate situation we are experiencing, the real music, I mean the one played and not the 'throwaway' based on image and gossip, will be strengthened", Sergio Caputo told ANSA.

"Once the big gatherings in arenas and stadiums have been suspended, managing the stage of a club with the public a few meters away - he observes - is a work of experienced artists, something that perhaps in large spaces was being lost and that perhaps will be re-evaluated".

This time his live will be in trio formation, with Fabiola Torresi on bass and backvocals, Sergio Caputo guitar and vocals and Alessandro Marzi on drums, but occasionally also on piano and choirs.

The concert will be enriched by a new guise of vocal arrangements and some surprise intervention.

In addition to the historical repertoire and the hits ('An Italian Saturday', 'Il Garibaldi in love', 'Bimba se sapessi' and many others) that his aficionados demand and expect, Sergio Caputo will come up with some gems based on the requests that come to him through social media.

"This Trio formula allows us to perform in these difficult Covid times, where audiences are necessarily halved (as well as budgets) due to distancing restrictions," he explains.

For those who have made music the compass of their life it is impossible to think of not playing and singing in front of the public.

Caputo does not stop and does not lose optimism.

"I feel particularly committed - he says - in continuing to bring music around, even if the ordinary difficulties are added to those of travel (reduced flights, abolished trains, etc.). We are people 'on the road', we do this job with passion , and today - he concludes - we also live it as a mission to heal the fear of the virus ".
