(ANSA) - BERGAMO, 02 OCT - In the Seriana Valley almost one inhabitant out of two has antibodies against the coronavirus: the Bergamo Health Protection Agency has announced the results of the serological investigation promoted by the Municipalities of the Valle Seriana area, in agreement with Ats Bergamo itself and the Lombardy Region, carried out in July 2020 and which saw the adhesion of 22,559 subjects;
95.2% of these (equal to 21,467 subjects) are resident / domiciled in the same area.
This is 26.6% of the adult population.
42.3% of the subjects tested were positive, with an increasing trend of positivity from the age of 45 upwards.
There is a constant higher prevalence of positivity in the female gender.
The municipality with the highest percentage of positives was Selvino (56.4%).
The positivity detected at the next nasopharyngeal swab, proposed to the subjects who tested positive for the serological test, was 1.7%;
adhesion was 98.9%.
