Singer Shlomi Shabbat was hospitalized today (Saturday) at Beilinson Hospital due to the corona disease he contracted last week, the hospital reported.
Ofer Menachem, Shlomi Shabbat's public relations manager, said: "Shlomi Shabbat, who was diagnosed with corona, came to the Beilinson emergency room because he felt unwell. After assessing the doctors' condition, it was decided to hospitalize him."
Shlomi Shabbat is one of the most beloved and successful singers in Israel.
Initially known mainly for the huge hit "Only Because of the Wind" composed by his sister Leah Shabbat and written by Micha Sheetrit.
The singer gained immense fame thanks to the series of duet albums "Shlomi Shabbat and Friends".
