A man stabbed a person on the street in a small Danish town and was shot dead by the police.
The police reported in a press release.
Accordingly, the perpetrator walked around the town of Nykøbing Falster on Saturday afternoon with several knives and behaved very threateningly.
Both perpetrators and victims succumb to injuries in hospital
When alerted police officers arrived, he stabbed a random passerby.
The officers then shot the attacker.
Both injured - the perpetrator and the victim - were later pronounced dead in a hospital.
The background to the crime initially remained unclear.
Nykøbing Falster is located on the west coast of the Danish island of Falster and has almost 17,000 inhabitants.
The city is located around 120 kilometers southwest of Copenhagen.
