(ANSA) - BUENOS AIRES, OCTOBER 06 - Coronavirus cases registered in Argentina have exceeded 800 thousand, according to data released yesterday evening relating to the previous 24 hours, when 11,242 new Covid-19 infections were recorded. The total number of infected persons reported by the Argentine health authorities is 809,728.
The daily toll also reported 452 new deaths, for a total of 21,468 deaths since the start of the pandemic. 649,017 people are considered cured of the disease.
According to data reported by the John Hopkins University on the number of deaths from the coronavirus, Argentina is close to Russia, which ranks 12th globally with 21,559 deaths from the pandemic. (HANDLE).
