The computerized system can suggest whether it is worthwhile to hospitalize a patient from the northern region, for example, in the hospital in Nahariya or send him to the hospitals in Haifa depending on the capacity of the corona wards and the capabilities of the medical staff.

In the "Barometer" report, members of the expert team advising the project on behalf of the government, Prof. Roni Gamzo, stated that 15% -10% of hospitalized patients can receive treatment in other settings (geriatric institutions, psychiatric institutions, dialysis treatment for Corona carriers) and thus alleviate the burden In the wards, however, due to the lack of effective regulation of the patients, unnecessary loads are caused.

"Primary and secondary patient regulation is a critical component in the health system's ability to maintain long - term respiration and immunity. Treatment of this issue has failed and requires immediate intervention," the experts wrote.

Later this week, a new Ministry of Health index was published that weights the workload in hospitals, and shows that the small and peripheral health institutions - the English in Nazareth, the Springs of Salvation in Bnei Brak and Hillel Yaffe in Hadera - are the busiest with more than 90% occupancy;

In contrast, large hospitals like Sheba, Beilinson and Assaf Harofeh are at the bottom of the list.

In the last week, the computer system was launched within the Ministry of Health systems.

It is a regulatory system that allows patients to be regulated automatically, and it is used as a support tool.

The new system has been developed in recent months in collaboration between the Medical Division, the GIS team in the Computing Division and with the support of the Technion.

The Ministry of Health states that "we are confident that all the hospitals will cooperate and assist in the efforts to regulate the loads, in order to improve the treatment of all corona patients in Israel."
