The peace agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates was signed about a month ago, but the aviation agreement that will allow direct flights between the two countries has not yet been signed.
A delegation from Israel to the United Arab Emirates is expected to leave soon to sign the agreement, which is expected by the end of October.
Despite the signing of the agreement, the direct flights between the countries will not start immediately and the process is expected to take about two months from the moment the agreement is signed. It is estimated that direct flights between the countries will be seen early next year.
Apart from the flights, there is an issue of confirming the entry of Israelis with an Israeli passport to the United Arab Emirates and the entry of citizens of the United Arab Emirates into Israel.
This issue is also in the process, and next week discussions are expected on the implementation of plans within the framework of the peace agreement between the two countries.
It was announced today that an important agreement has been signed that will allow the crossing of the skies between Israel and Jordan and thus will actually allow direct flights on short routes from our region towards the countries of the East. Someone who may be affected by the recent agreements, which also include flight permits over Saudi Arabia and flights between Israel and the Emirates, is Turkey, due to the opening of transit options that do not require dependence on the country.
