The number of corona infections is skyrocketing in some regions and cities in Germany.
The President of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) is concerned, Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) reminds of the AHA rules (distance, hygiene, everyday masks) and says that celebrations and major events are a problem, controls are necessary.
The example of the city of Hamm recently showed how quickly the number of cases can rise after so-called superspreader events.
After a hen party and a wedding with several hundred participants, the critical threshold of 50 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants was significantly exceeded in the past seven days.
According to the RKI, the value for the city is currently 78 people.
Hamm tightened the corona measures: events were canceled, private celebrations from 25 people must be registered, in secondary schools there is a mask requirement - because of the recklessness of some, everyone now has to live with stricter rules.
And so the example of the city also shows that the latest developments are accompanied by the potential for social conflict.

A school principal, the mayor and a market trader give an insight.
