The blue swimmer Alex Di Giorgio tested positive for a surprise anti-doping check carried out by Nado Italia, last 13 September in Livigno during a national college.
The substance detected by the test is ostarine, a selective androgen receptor modulator (Sarm) that aids training performance and increases physical endurance, producing effects similar to steroids.
Di Giorgio has already been suspended as a precautionary measure by the Anti-Doping Tribunal and risks 4 years of disqualification.
