Two days after announcing that she will not allow the appointment of Eyal Berkovich as the coach of the Israeli national team, Transport Minister Miri Regev uploaded a photo of herself in a football uniform

Rising to the attack:

Two days after the loud and charged confrontation between Transport Minister Miri Regev and Eyal Berkovich on his and Ofira Asaig's talk show, the parties do not seem to be in a hurry to announce a ceasefire soon.

As part of the difficult exchange between the two in the studio, Regev announced that as long as Berkowitz refuses to apologize for calling the Likud party a criminal organization, she will do everything in her power to prevent his appointment as coach of the Israeli national team.

As expected, this charged declaration created a public outcry and it refuses to subside even two days later, with both sides continuing to kindle the fire.

Berkowitz posted a poll this weekend on his story, in which the electorate determined that he deserved to be the next coach of the Israeli national team, adding the sting: "I have never been so close to the national team. A small apology and this is mine."

In response, Regev posted a photo of herself in Instagram today (Sunday) wearing a football uniform (taken in 2016, when Regev took part in a friendly football match between the female Golstar team and the Knesset members' team), and wrote: "We have redefined the rules of the game."

She went on to write: "Important update: Despite the references, I do not intend to coach the Israeli team."

The post garnered thousands of likes (including from singer Peer Tessie) and hundreds of comments, clearly divided into two camps: those who praised Regev completely and those who came out against her in harsh and blunt words: "What are you proud of I did not understand ??? You went out there like the last mobsters. "You only reinforced what he said. I voted for Likud all my life, but you are doing incredible damage to the party," wrote an angry surfer.

"The saddest thing is that you have time for 'games' with everything that is happening here in the country. Come on, rabble lady. More to shut up and do than to fiddle with us here," another surfer added, while other surfers expressed anger and wrote: "Queen of Evil. National disgrace!"

And "Populist in the shekel. There are no meanings or implications for the words that come out of your mouth Jura other than working with your eyes on the dumbest faction in the Likud."

"We are proud of her," wrote another surfer.

"If we are called the head of a criminal organization, then why not talk like that. She is right, this is how sub-level people should be spoken like that. Miri is a champion and all the respect to her."

And also: "Congratulations to Miri. It's time for them to shut up this arrogant big mouth who is useless in anything, just sowing evil and hatred in the people. Congratulations on your work in every field you are in charge of. Honest power."

Other surfers wrote: "You said what no one dared say to them, all the respect we all salute you", and another surfer concluded: "No I am burnt! My dream is to be Miri Regev when I grow up."
