Sold out at the Odeon cinema in Florence for the 'reading' by Nanni Moretti: the director decided to accompany his 'Cario Diario', which returns to the theater thanks to the Cineteca di Bologna in a restored version, reading to the public extracts of the notes taken during the making of the film that earned him the award for director at Cannes in 1994.
"I'm here for you in the flesh" he said before giving away his memories in front of an audience who thanked him at the end with a standing ovation.
Also adding: "I am impressed that my films are already being restored".
The readings start on April 27, 1992 and end on November 19, 1993, one week after the film's release.
An hour of stories, including that linked to November 2, 1993, when Moretti paid homage to Federico Fellini, who died a few days earlier, noting among other things that passing in front of the coffin it seemed too small.
Moretti will accompany his restored film also in Bologna (again today), in Turin and Milan (tomorrow), finally in Rome (from 16 to 18 October), while yesterday he started this 'tour' from Perugia.
