The mayors of Mar Chiquita, Jorge Paredi;

from Necochea, Arturo Rojas;

and from La Costa, Cristian Cardozo, anticipated that, together with Nación and the province of Buenos Aires, they are designing a summer with

distance

in public places such as beaches, with a variant of the

CuidAr application

for vacationers and even with a Traceability to detect the close contacts of anyone who becomes infected with coronavirus while on vacation.

In dialogue with Télam, the communal chiefs described the strategies that they are developing in each district together with the national and Buenos Aires authorities for the 2020/21 summer season "so that everyone complies with the

hygiene

, safety and social distancing

protocols

, both in spas , as in hotels and gastronomic shops ", as summarized by Rojas, from Necochea.

- How is each of the districts preparing for the upcoming summer season?

- Jorge Paredi: We are working on the elaboration of

protocols

together with the Nation and the Province.

In the first stage, since October, we made the decision to enter the

non-resident owners

in Mar Chiquita, who since the beginning of the pandemic did not return and want to come to check and review their house.

Until today you can register at www.marchiquita.gob.ar.

We ask a lot of responsibility to those who enter to take care of us all, both residents and non-residents.

The mayors emphasize sanitary measures.

- Arturo Rojas: In Necochea we prepare ourselves to be in the best conditions to receive the tourists who choose us.

I believe that all the towns on the coast should take the measures jointly, so that visitors know what the

requirements are

when arriving at the spas and the protocols they must comply with.

- Cristian Cardozo: The preparation is responsible, aware of the situation we are going through and coordinated with the different tourist destinations in the region to have the best possible season.

Orderly

, healthy and that the visitor can rest from this difficult year that we are having worldwide.

On the Coast, the joint work that we are carrying out with the national government is allowing us to adapt the CuidAr application, which will be used by all visitors who want to rest in Argentina.

At the same time, with the provincial government we are developing the protocols that allow us to properly carry out all the

necessary safety

and hygiene

measures

.

And from the municipality we are also working on

traceability software

that will help us quickly determine who are close contacts and the periods of isolation in the case of a contagion situation.

- How will the protocols to be implemented in the beaches or shops be?

- JP: We come with permanent meetings with the Chamber of Commerce of Mar Chiquita and the spa concessionaires to see what the protocols will be in the line of work, how to keep the distance and meet the requirements.

For that, we hold

virtual meetings

with the Ministers of Tourism, Matías Lammens;

and of Production, Science and Technological Innovation of the province, Augusto Costa.

In turn, we maintain a dialogue with the Provincial Lifeguard Commission for the coordination of security operations on beaches.

- AR: In Necochea we were also talking with the Minister of Tourism and with the Province to coordinate the work with all the municipalities, be coordinated and arrange the necessary measures so that this season, which is going to be extremely particular, the Argentines choose us. as an option to vacation.

The Ministry of Tourism and the Government Department are already in dialogue with service providers and work is being done in an articulated manner so that all

hygiene, safety and social distancing

protocols

are

complied with

both in spas, hotels and gastronomic shops.

- CC: All the protocols that we will implement in La Costa will seek to take care of the necessary social distancing between families and groups.

To do this, we will use a

gauging system

developed through new technologies that has already been used successfully in different parts of the world.

At the same time, and for the proper functioning, lifeguards, beach attendants and the private sector that provides services will actively participate.

Also, taking into account that we have 92 kilometers of coastline, we are going to

expand services

to achieve the distancing.

- Do you think that a season reduced to 50% or 30% would help the regional economy of each district anyway?

- JP: The

occupancy percentages

are being evaluated for both the spas and the hotel accommodations in Mar Chiquita.

- AR: As I said, it is an atypical season from every point of view.

But for us, in Necochea, tourism is very important and that is why we work all year round thinking about tourists who can come to our city and enjoy everything we have.

The mayor of Necochea assured that they have been working all year on protocols.

- CC: We have to work in the best possible season.

Common sense tells us that this percentage will be determined according to the possibility of each destination to carry out the distancing and

prevention

measures

required in the face of this pandemic.

- How do you evaluate the work that the national and provincial governments are carrying out?

- JP: There is a State present.

The support of President Alberto Fernández and Governor Axel Kicillof towards the interior municipalities is permanent.

A generous and federal look with concrete actions and facts.

- AR: I think that the pandemic is something that nobody could assume and for which nobody was prepared.

But we support the measures taken by the national government and particularly Governor Axel Kicillof, with whom we have a very cordial daily relationship and with whom

we work together

to carry out development policies for our city.

What is Coronavirus, How is it spread and what are its symptoms?

Watch the special

- CC: A coordinated work is being carried out among all the provinces and municipalities and, to make this possible, both the President and the Governor are promoting meeting and debate scenarios, which result in the

best possible responses

for the community to this situation, also understanding that this is the way forward for a united Argentina.
