Because he showed his right-wing extremist tattoo in front of students, a teacher in Oranienburg, Brandenburg, has been sentenced to a suspended sentence of three months.
The man was found guilty of using symbols of unconstitutional organizations, said a spokeswoman for the Oranienburg district court on Monday evening.
The man had been a referee in July 2018 at a school festival at Bernsteinsee (Barnim).
When he took off his T-shirt, the SS slogan, "My honor is loyalty," and other right-wing tattoos came to light.
A witness photographed the teacher bare-chested.
The Hennigsdorfer Oberschule (Oberhavel) then announced the 37-year-old.
With a lawsuit against this termination, he was successful in December 2019.
According to the court, the decision was made for legal and formal reasons, because the State of Brandenburg had not given the staff council certain reasons for the termination before the execution.
According to the spokeswoman, the man had denied having a right disposition in the process.
According to him, he made the tattoos because he was first interested in the Vikings and then later in the Teutons.
The court found, however, that ethos did not matter.
"The mere use of the license plate regardless of the convictions is punishable," the court said.
