Pop singer Patrick Lindner married his long-time partner Peter Schäfer.
Lindner's management confirmed corresponding media reports that the couple had already celebrated their wedding on the weekend.
According to the "Bild" newspaper, the festival is said to have taken place in a small circle in Munich.
Lindner, who is actually called Friedrich Günther Raab, also published a photo on Instagram on Sunday that shows his hand and that of his partner with wedding rings.
"I want you to be happy," wrote the singer.
Shortly before his 60th birthday at the end of September, he also released a single under the title.
The singer had the breakthrough in 1989.
With the song "Die kloane Tür zum Paradies" he took second place at the Grand Prix of Folk Music.
Other hits by the native of Munich have titles such as "The Voice of the Heart" or "Feeling is a Roller Coaster".
In an interview with the dpa news agency, Lindner recently described his coming out as a homosexual in 1999 as a "roller coaster ride".
"My public outing back then was a forced outing, you could say," said Lindner.
"It is very clear that I grew into a music world that was very conservative and still is today. I faced the situation, which was not easy 20 years ago."
Lindner now sees himself as a link between the homosexual community and the more conservative audience.
He founded a foundation for queer children and wants to help out when they come out.
