(ANSA) - BERLIN, OCTOBER 13 - The 2020 edition of the Frankfurt International Book Fair "is a great experiment" due to the Covid-19 pandemic: the director of the Fair Juergen Boos said at the opening press conference.
The current edition will be broadcasted instreaming from Wednesday 14 to Sunday 18 October.
"Very disappointed" the director defines himself as not being able to host "live" the most important event in the publishing sector.
However, the offer remains noteworthy, with 4400 exhibitors participating in the digital event from 110 countries and a programming of 260 hours of events with 750 speakers.
"Also in the future it will be normal a mix of events in presence and digital offer", continued Boos concluding "to have hope in the future of publishing and to have hope for the future of the Frankfurt Book Fair".
