The "Order 8 for Cultural Workers" group continues to help women and women who have been severely affected by the corona through fundraising shows and other activities.

This time, Ran Danker was recruited for the task, who will hold an acoustic show on Zoom this Friday, all proceeds of which will be donated to cultural workers.

Viewers will be asked to join the Facebook group, pay a sum starting at NIS 60, and they will receive a link to watch the show.

"It will be an acoustic show, me and the guitar with guitarist Avner Twig, and it will be broadcast from the roof of my house in Jaffa," says Danker.

"The show will be about an hour and we will sing my songs of all time and maybe even some covers and surprises. This is the show I ran with in the last few months as part of the shows I did in people's homes."

Danker was one of the first artists to recognize the changing reality because of the corona, and began performing small performances in homes according to the conditions of the purple character.

“It came from a place of real distress of an artist sitting at home and asking himself‘ how do I make a living? ’” Danker says.

"How do I do what I love to do in the world? I realized it could take a long time, and I realized there was no choice but to do the simplest thing in the book: take a guitar and go perform everywhere, according to instructions. I made a living for myself and three other staff members (Soundman, Guitarist and play director - MK).

"A situation has arisen that we went out to perform tonight, more than I have performed all the last two years. I currently have invited performances until the end of December, it's crazy."

But in closing the performances stopped again.

"Right now we'm really in birth, but as soon as we get out of quarantine - I continue. It's not that I earn the amounts I was used to, but it keeps my head above water. The price of such a non-astronomical performance, between 5,000 and 6,500 shekels, depends on the place. "At the time of the show and the number of people. Obviously it is also difficult and complex, you come to people home and sometimes it consumes a lot of energy, but it also allows hearts to get closer. We go on a journey every night, we have no idea who we will meet, and we met a very diverse audience."

According to Danker, these performances save him but do not eliminate the frustration from the situation.

"I feel abandoned," he says.

"Common sense tells me something is wrong here. The world of culture has been pushed aside. I understand we are dealing with an epidemic and everyone has been hurt, but there are lots of solutions, just not urgent for anyone to find them. Maybe we are not shouting loud enough, maybe the world of culture is too cultural. "It doesn't make sense that this is the last thing we talk about. I have friends who are really bleeding right now."

Do you know people who have collapsed financially?

"Unequivocally. And it's terribly embarrassing to them. Part of this beautiful thing they do in Order 8 for Cultural Workers and the Heartbeat Association is that they help them anonymously, and if I have the privilege of taking part in it - I'm happy."

Encouragingly, you actually managed to put out new songs during this difficult time.

"True. I released three singles. Although it's not an easy time, it's very important to me to send a message to my audience that I'm staying and not going anywhere. I believe that like anything in life, it will pass, but what's dangerous is how we treat each other. I really "I see violence and I call on people to think for a moment, to breathe, quarreling does not lead to good places."
