Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot updated tonight (Saturday) about a marked improvement in the medical condition of the three children hospitalized after suffering from PIMS syndrome, which was caused by a complication of the coronary heart disease in which they were infected.

According to the hospital, their condition has improved and is now defined as mediocre. When the hospital claimed that "there is no immediate danger to their lives".

In Israel, about 30 cases of the syndrome have so far been diagnosed in children who suffered from corona and recovered, but the complication caused systemic damage.

It is a syndrome that affects systems in the body.

At first it manifests itself in high fever, abdominal pain, rash and dysfunction of vital organs.

Later, among other things, but not always, a heart attack is noticeable.

It harms the body about a month after recovery from the corona virus.

Another ten-year-old girl, a resident of Rehovot, who was also hospitalized in Kaplan, also recovered from the syndrome and was released to her home last week.

She was hospitalized for about three weeks after being infected with a family member in Corona and after recovering she came to the emergency room with symptoms of high fever and abdominal pain diagnosed as a syndrome.

Tests revealed that she was suffering from liver dysfunction and according to Dr. Alex Guri who treated her "started an immunological storm procedure known as 'pimple' syndrome. We gave restraining drugs that treated the inflammatory response, she fought the syndrome even though she was in critical condition some time."

Dr. Ofra Goldzweig, an expert in infectious diseases in Kaplan, added that the first documentation in the world was in April and May in England, and then in other countries the whole medical picture is similar and there is a risk of heart damage worldwide Hundreds of cases have been documented.

We knew what treatment was needed and they also gave us a biologic medicine and after three weeks her condition improved she feels good and is released home.

"She will be monitored to make sure that the syndrome has not left long-term effects, with an emphasis on heart damage."
