International arms trafficking, four arrests

(ANSA) - MILAN, OCTOBER 17 - Four people were arrested by the Varese State Police on charges of international trafficking in weapons of war.

The Police, coordinated by the Central Directorate of the Prevention Police-Ucidigos, between apartments and cellars referable to those arrested in Lombardy, has seized an arsenal of over 50 pieces including machine guns, assault rifles, carbines and pistols.

Thanks to investigations coordinated by the BustoArsizio (Varese) Public Prosecutor's Office, Nonsolo also confiscated 14 explosive artifacts, grenades, numerous pieces of weapons, tanks for cartridges as well as 10,000 ammunition of various caliber.
