2020-10-19T15:40:01.476Z

"A great international effort is being made on vaccines. Realistically I think we could start vaccinations for frail people, law enforcement, health workers in the first months of next spring." 'Italy is one of the countries that has more buffers, but always a strategy' underlines the member of the CTS (ANSA)

"A great international effort is being made on vaccines. Realistically I believe we could start vaccinations for frail people, law enforcement, health workers in the first months of next spring."

This was stated by

Franco Locatelli

,

president of the Superior Health Council and member of the CTS

, in an interview with InBlu Radio, the Catholic radio network of the CEI.

"Arcuri's work on swabs is formidable. In the last few days of molecular swabs we have reached over 150 thousand. And

Italy is one of the countries that makes more swabs in the world.

At the moment there is also the availability of rapid tests. However, more than numbers I would speak of strategies because it would become a race that would go to self-sustain and would move the bar higher and higher ".

This was stated by the president of the Higher Health Council and member of the CTS, Franco Locatelli, in an interview with InBlu Radio, the Catholic radio network of the CEI.

"Saying 'let's do more swabs' is easy, while the discourse on the elaboration of a strategy in terms of the country system to implement these swabs is more complex and articulated", he said.

"We must make the pathways more efficient and above all we give an important role to general practitioners", stressed Locatelli.

"The current situation - he explained - is very different from that of March where the burden of pathology that weighed on it was significantly greater than today. Just go and see the number of intensive care units and people who have lost their lives. Certainly there has been an important acceleration in the number of infected but there are significant differences ".
