A 22-year-old German citizen is in custody in Great Britain on suspicion of terrorism.
According to SPIEGEL information, British investigators arrested the alleged Islamist Florian F. from the Düsseldorf area last Monday at London Stansted Airport.
As the police department Scotland Yard announced, F. is accused of having spread terrorist propaganda and inciting terrorism.
F. is said to have sent corresponding videos in at least five cases.
According to the investigation, the crimes should have occurred between August 15 and September 23.
Possible IS supporter
After several months in England, Florian F. was apparently on his way back to Germany when he was picked up at the airport.
According to SPIEGEL information, the man was also on the radar of the security authorities in Germany.
According to this, F. is suspected of belonging to a group of IS supporters from Ratingen in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The police are conducting F. as a so-called test case Islamism.
As part of a preliminary hearing, Florian F. had to appear before the Westminster District Court this Monday.
As is usual with terrorist proceedings in England, another court hearing will probably take place in the coming weeks in front of the Old Bailey Central Criminal Court in London.
According to SPIEGEL information, the alleged Islamist remains in custody for the time being.
