Two young men disappeared after a tent trip in Birkenau.
According to the police, 19-year-old Henri Hahn and 18-year-old Nico Schäfer were camping together in a wooded area at the weekend.
The two have been missing since Sunday noon.
Extensive search measures involving rescue dogs, rescue services and the technical relief organization, search teams from the surrounding volunteer fire brigades and a police helicopter have not yet led to the two people being found.
According to the current status of the investigation, the police assume that both men are in a helpless position and urgently need medical help.
This is what the missing look like
Henri Hahn is 198 cm tall, slim, has brown eyes and dark blonde, curly long hair.
He's probably wearing a black down jacket with the words "Northface" on it, and a black and white checked cap from the brand "Carhartt".
Nico Schäfer is 180 cm tall, has short brown hair and is bearded.
He is said to be dressed in a dark blue sweatshirt and black sweatpants.
Anyone who can provide information on the whereabouts of the missing person is asked to report to the police station in Heppenheim on 06252/7060 or to any other police station.
