Defense Minister Bnei Gantz today (happily) visited the Biological Institute ahead of the start of human trials in the corona vaccine expected in early October: "A source of national pride."

The director of the Biological Institute, Prof. Shmuel Shapira, has revealed the trade name of the vaccine: Brilife.

Ganz arrived for an update meeting and tour of the institute, which is a trust unit of the Ministry of Defense, ahead of the start of the expected human experiment at the end of the month. 

The Deputy Prime Minister was given an overview of the completions required for the start of the trials, the schedules as well as the manufacturing work of the vaccine.

The Secretary of Defense met with the heads of the research team and congratulated them on the breakthrough and their dedicated work.

At the end of the visit, Ganz said: "We are in a very significant moment. Prof. Shapira and the entire team did a fantastic job, they are the scientific frontier of the State of Israel and they have brought the vaccine to a stage where we can soon begin human trials. If the process is successful, "Israel and perhaps all the peoples of the world. I would like to thank all the members of the institute and the research team, you are a source of national pride."

Prof. Shmuel Shapira, director of the Biological Institute, said: "We set out nine months ago on February 2 and we are entering the final round at the end of October. The vaccine has a trade name -" Brilife "- health, il - for the State of Israel, and life.
