After the officialization of the summer season on the Atlantic Coast of Buenos Aires, the mayor of Pinamar,

Martín Yeza

, gave some details of what will be the limitations and the protocols that will be implemented in that municipality, in the framework of the coronavirus pandemic.

In the first place, he remarked that as of November 1, people "in general will be able to go to the Coast to start projecting the season."

“In November a certain number of people will come and we will see how our health system behaves or how people behave in public spaces.

And based on that, we will recalibrate towards January, which will be the most difficult test, "he said.

Unlike the measure studied by other municipalities, Yeza clarified that in Pinamar

there will be no space to go to the beach

or for public spaces in general.

“I wouldn't do it for a practical matter.

The Municipality does not have the legal competence so that someone who is in public space cannot be.

In most cases we are not going to work with quotas, "he said.

He also explained that "obviously"

the use of the chinstrap for sunbathing

will not be mandatory

.

"It would be raccoon summer," he joked.

However, in dialogue with

Radio La Red, he

announced that the hotels will work with "a

maximum occupancy of 85%

.

"

He also said that he is working together with the local hotel and gastronomic association to rent two hotels "to which people who require isolation could be sent."

With unauthorized theaters and cinemas, Yeza affirmed that in Pinamar

there will be five open-air cultural spaces

"in the drive-in style, but with theatrical productions, book presentations or for bands to play, each one in his car or in his space."

"Broadly speaking, we are working hard so that people take care of themselves a little more or have the best possible care," concluded the mayor.

Yesterday, at a press conference in Mar del Plata, Governor Axel Kicillof specified that the summer season will begin on November 1 for non-resident owners and on December 1 for tourists in general and will end on Sunday, April 4, in Easter.

Tourists will

not be required to have prior swabs

, but tests will be reinforced in the districts and, in the event that someone is infected during their vacations, they must return to their place of origin, and if they cannot do so, the municipalities must arrange of places of isolation.

Regarding travel, Kicillof pointed out that tourists will have to download the

"Cuidar Verano" application

, where they will register their personal data and specify who they will travel with, the place of destination and accommodation, which will be analyzed by the municipalities, who will give or not the go-ahead.

All activities allowed in terms of gastronomy, accommodation and spas must have protocols and standards of hygiene, distancing and prevention.

In restaurants and hotels, there will be maximum capacity according to the building capacity and only the permanence and access to establishments with natural ventilation or fan will be allowed, since air conditioning systems are prohibited.

Nor will the common spaces be enabled, to avoid overcrowding, and pools in the accommodation will be allowed only with protocols, quotas and shifts, under strict control and monitoring.
