Apart from being a famous actress and the "Bay Watch" icon, Pamela Anderson is also known for her many activities for animals, and even visited the country to promote the animal issue.

After Minister Gila Gamliel submitted an amendment to the law banning the fur trade, Anderson was moved and wrote: "Dear Gila Gamliel, as Honorary Chair of PETA (People for Moral Treatment of Animals) and on behalf of the members of the International Coalition Against Fur, I would like to thank you For filing an amendment to the Wildlife Protection Act that would ban the sale of furs!

"I have been involved in this issue for many years, I wrote to the Prime Minister on this matter and during my visit to Israel I even lobbied personally. Your move will help protect millions of animals every year, and without it, the animals will be battered, electrified or stripped of their fur while alive for their fur. 

"There is another urgent matter related to the ban on the sale of furs: the corona virus. Fur farms, as wherever animals are stored and killed, are fertile ground for disease. The corona virus is already found in fur farms in Denmark, the Netherlands, Spain and the United States.

In response, the Dutch parliament voted in favor of banning mink breeding, and additional fur farms in the country will close by early next year.
