Will British actor Dominic West, the star of the "Undercover" and "Novel" series, play the character of Prince Charles in the fifth season of the popular series "The Crown" on Netflix?

Thus, at least the British Sun newspaper reports.

The fourth season of the popular series dealing with the British royal family since the coronation of Elizabeth II is set to take place soon.

The first two seasons focused on the first decade of Elizabeth's tenure, in the 1950s and 1960s (Elizabeth became queen in 1952, at the age of 26, following the death of her father, King George VI at the age of 56).

These seasons played the characters of Elizabeth and her husband Philip actors Claire Foy and Matt Smith.

In the third season, the entire cast was replaced, to adjust the age of the actors to the age of the characters who have already matured.

The characters of Elizabeth and Philip were played by Olivia Coleman and Tobias Menzis, and the character of Charles, who has already reached the age of recruitment, was played by actor Josh O'Connor.

Also in the fourth season, which will soon air on Netflix, these are the actors, and this season will be joined by the character of the young Diana (played by actress Emma Corinne).

In the fifth season, the cast is due to change again, due to the chronological progression in the plot, and according to The Sun, the 51-year-old West will play the older Prince Charles.

Who will play Elizabeth in the fifth season is actress Imelda Stonton ("On Wisdom and Sensitivity") - another cast that Sun exclusively revealed about a year ago.

The character of Diana will be played in the fifth season by the Australian actress Elizabeth Debbie ("Tenet").

Another casting for the fifth season is that of "Bags in the Dark" star Gillian Anderson, who will play British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.

Anderson is the partner of "Crown" creator and screenwriter Peter Morgan.

Work on the fifth and sixth seasons of "The Crown" is in the early stages of production, and arouses much interest around the castings of Charles and Diana, as the royal duo's marriage and divorce kept the world busy until Diana's tragic death in 1997.

Dominic West's name has recently starred in gossip columns and tabloids because of paparazzi photos taken in Rome, in which he is seen cuddling and hugging actress Lily James (31).

Immediately after the photos were released, West's wife for the past ten years, landscape designer Catherine Fitzgerald, boarded a plane to Italy and the two appeared in front of journalists and photographers declaring that their marriage was "stronger than ever".

Fitzgerald is part of an aristocratic aristocratic dynasty in England.

James, who starred in films such as "Cinderella" and "Mama Mia 2" (and is also remembered as Lady Rose McClure from "Downton Mansion") completely went underground and canceled all media appearances planned for her in the coming days, in favor of promoting a new film starring "Rebecca," in which she stars alongside Armie Hammer.
