(ANSA) - CARACAS, OCTOBER 21 - The president of the Venezuelan republic Nicolás Maduro has announced that between December and January 2021 the complete vaccines for Covid-19 in Russia and China are expected in order to start the mass vaccination plan for the population in Venezuela.
In this context, reports the state TV Vtv, the head of the state has made an appeal to the Ministry of Health, the medical brigades, the municipalities and the education sector to prepare for this operation.
Maduro in particular asked the municipal authorities to start already now to evaluate the priorities, regarding people of the third age, those with chronic diseases, the educational staff and the health one.
"We will start from the priority sectors - he underlined - up to vaccinating the whole population against Covid-19".
Finally, the head of state wanted to highlight the performance in the field of vaccines in Cuba which has two drugs, the 'Soberana 01' which has reached phase III of experimentation, and the 'Soberana 01 A' which is starting phase I. "Cuba - he stressed - it is the only Third World country that is producing its vaccine and this gives us the reason to be happy with the Cuban people by taking them as an example ".
