Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence claims to have rethought her political views since US President Donald Trump took office.
"I grew up a Republican. When I got to vote for the first time, I voted for John McCain," said the 30-year-old actress on the podcast "Absolutely Not".
Because of Trump's politics, everything has changed for her.
She will vote for Democratic challenger Joe Biden on November 3rd, said the US actress.
Lawrence criticized, among other things, Trump's attitude towards the "White Supremacists".
The English term "White Supremacy" describes the ideology of the supremacy of whites.
In the past, Trump had repeatedly refused to clearly distance himself from such racist groups.
It was not until the beginning of October that he spoke out against right-wing extremist groups such as the KKK (Ku Klux Klan) and the "White Supremacists" in view of increasing pressure.
Journalists had previously not been able to get the President to condemn these movements in one complete, unambiguous sentence, in which he explicitly referred to them as such.
Lawrence became known to a wide audience with the "Hunger Games" films.
For her role in "Silver Linings" she won the Oscar for best actress.
