Weightlifter Danielle Madam on Instagram: 'I'm positive'

 It was she who announced it with a "story" on her Instagram profile: "I swabbed, I am positive about Covid-19".

Danielle Frédérique Madam, 23, of Cameroonian origins, athletics champion in the shot put specialty, resident in Pavia, has been talking about herself in recent days for the "Suarez case". 

Despite her long stay in our country (she has lived in Italy since the age of 7), her citizenship has not yet been recognized.

So when in recent days the story of Suarez's Italian exam in Perugia (which the Prosecutor's Office of the Umbrian capital is investigating) came up, Danielle vented: "If I were a footballer like Suarez I would have no problem having a passport ".

Mario Fabrizio Fracassi, mayor of Pavia, received it in the Municipality and wrote a letter to the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, asking him to grant citizenship to Danielle.

Now, however, the young athlete (who had revealed that he was the subject of racist attacks on social media and also in person) will have to stay at home for 10 days in isolation.

"I realized that something was wrong - she told on Instagram - when I started to smell no more. It seemed like a common cold, nothing more. But I decided to swab, discovering I had contracted the virus. I'm fine, I have no particular problems. I appeal to everyone and in particular to young people: be careful, always wear a mask and bring the gel with you to disinfect your hands often ".
