Since the end of September, employers' organizations can apply for their certificate of representativeness.
This is a decisive measure to determine their weight in the negotiation of collective agreements, the share of contributions due to them and their number of seats in joint bodies (Unedic, Sécu), regional inter-professional joint committees and industrial tribunals.

Unlike employee unions, measuring the employer's audience is not an election.
Until 2014, it was sufficient for inter-professional organizations (Medef, CPME, U2P), multi-professional organizations (Udes, FNSEA, etc.) or professional federations (Capeb for construction, UIMM for metallurgy, etc.) to be recognized by their peers to be representative.
The law now provides for the assessment of the weight of the 500 applicant organizations.
Concretely, each federation which applies for more than 200 professional branches (bakery, metallurgy, etc.)
