Netflix invested in French cinema.
The American platform is joining forces with the Kourtrajmé film school, created by director Ladj Ly - who caused a sensation with
Les Misérables - in
order to "
promote a new generation of talents in cinematographic and audiovisual creation
", announces the service of streaming in a press release.

The partnership, signed for three years, provides for the funding of three short films produced by groups of students selected by the school as well as the funding of equipment work and the funding of means of transport for students who do not live in near the school.

Netflix will also contribute to the educational project of this free school without qualification conditions, created in 2018 in Seine-Saint-Denis, by offering writing workshops intended to develop writing series.
The platform will also organize round tables, masterclasses, coaching sessions on oral expression and the exercise of the pitch and its teams will participate in juries.
Netflix had already organized in June a masterclass for the students of the school with the American director Spike Lee, Ladj Ly and the artist JR (who is piloting an art training in this school).
