It did not go unnoticed by the photographer's eye of Marina Devo, a Mar del Plata woman who, as a complaint, posted on her social networks: "Painted on the Rambla ... yes, it belongs to everyone but it seems that at times it
is the private property
of a few ", and illustrated with images of the work that
a group of Kirchnerist militants took
to paint a huge Nestor Kirchner on the Rambla.
The graffiti artists did it on the tiles of the
Plazoleta Almirante Brown
, which is in the middle of the buildings of the NH Gran Hotel Provincial and the Central Casino, a few meters from the famous Sea Lions of the Rambla, a site declared National Heritage.
It occupies a large part of the surface, meters from a place that last year was declared
a National Sculptural Heritage
by the National Commission of Monuments, Places and Historical Assets and was made official by decree 769/2019 of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Nation.

"It is a painting in homage to former president Néstor Kircher, and we agree with the tributes, but they
must be done in the corresponding places
and without damaging a space that is national heritage, a space that is the postcard of the city and
belongs
to all ", lamented the restorer Constanza Adhiecci, director of the area of Restoration of Sculptural Monuments of the municipality of General Pueyrredón.
Adhiecci told
Clarín
that in the next few hours he will submit a report to the National Monuments Commission, "which is the one that authorizes any type of intervention in spaces declared heritage and at the same time we will send the
procedure for removing the painting
."
The portrait of the former president was outlined in chalk and the result is the contrast between the light color of the tiles and the black paint that they used "with a lot of thinner, which causes a
lot of damage to the pigmentation of the tiles,
" explained the restorer.
The Municipality of General Pueyrredón regretted the initiative.
The mayor of the Municipality of General Pueyrredón, Guillermo Montenegro (Together for Change), told
Clarín
: “I feel sad.
Caring for public space is
everyone's responsibility
.
And in this case it is also a space not only for all Mar del Plata, but it is the postcard of all Argentines ”.
