(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 24 - On October 24, 1945 the UN statute entered into force, this date is celebrated as a day of the United Nations and this year falls on the seventy-fifth anniversary.
Italy has decided to commemorate the anniversary with the issue of a special stamp which, in the blue color of the UN, reproduces the logo of the 75 years of the United Nations.
The stamp issued today corresponds to the rate of the ordinary postal mail sent to the countries of Oceania, equal to 3.10 euros. The bulletin illustrating the issue was drawn up by Stefano Buffagni, Deputy Minister of Economic Development (the department responsible for the postal sector). Buffagni writes in the text that "the United Nations Charter is still today a world landmark of democracy and the will of the people not to repeat the mistakes and horrors of the past". (HANDLE).
