Investigations into globules: Eisner (Harald Krassnitzer) and Fellner (Adele Neuhauser)
Photo: Anjeza Cikopano / ORF / ARD
The scenario:
The tough business of gentle medicine.
After a series of deaths in the vicinity of a homeopathic company, Moritz Eisner (Harald Krassnitzer) and Bibi Fellner (Adele Neuhauser) dive into the world of hand lay-ons and human energetics.
A company in which the tough laws of capitalism obviously apply.
Lobbyism and striving for market power included.
The highlight:
The "crime scene" is staged like a pharmaceutical crime thriller.
Globule capitalism seems to be in no way inferior to the profit-making pursuit of conventional pharmaceutical companies - only that its representatives wear collarless eco-shirts instead of ties and suits.
Well, the look is sometimes very striking in this crime thriller.
The picture:
A glass of water that one of the alternative medicine practitioners drinks while concocting a particularly insidious plan.
It is clear: between the likable beer, schnapps and schnitzel ruffles Eisner and Fellner, the H20 ascetic must be the bad guy.
The dialogue:
Fellner and Eisner stand in front of an advertising poster for a suspected miracle healer.
Fellner reads out: "'Activation and harmonization of the body's own energy fields and energetic-spiritual healing work.' How do you become something like that? "
Eisner: "What? Human energetic? Quite simply: by deciding to be."
Fellner: "Seriously?"
Eisner: "Yes, I checked with the Chamber of Commerce. It's a free trade. Anyone can register their trade."
Fellner: "Does that mean you can work without proof of professional training?"
Eisner: "Yes. It's a bit like night watchmen, couriers, politicians, actors."
The song:
"Duerme Nino Mio".
The Spanish lullaby, performed here in a ghostly choked version by Elena and Sandra Velasquez Montiel, is heard in the scenes in which a Colombian mother remembers her dead daughter.
The child died as a result of incorrect treatment by alternative doctors.
The review:
6 out of 10 points.
The horror with homeopathy - here it is staged with speed, feeling and sometimes, unfortunately, a little gimmicky.
