Coronavirus in France: 116 new deaths and 52,010 contaminations in 24 hours, a record

The number of contaminations in France continues to increase every day according to the latest report from Public Health France.


While 2/3 of the population of France has now been living under a curfew in France since Saturday evening, the country has recorded 52,010 new SARS-CoV-2 contaminations in the past 24 hours, according to Public Health France (SPF).

The day before, this figure stood at 45,422. This is a new record.

Also according to SPF, 116 deaths linked to Covid-19 have been recorded in hospitals.

At least 23,635 people have lost their lives from the disease since the outbreak began at the hospital.

The increase in the number of patients admitted to intensive care or intensive care continues. This indicator is particularly observed by the authorities, who fear an influx of patients who would clog emergency and intensive care departments.
