(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 25 - New leap in infections for Covid which for the first time since the beginning of the emergency exceed 20 thousand in one day: according to data from the Health Ministry, 21,273 new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours with 161,880 tampons, more than 15,700 less than yesterday.
On the other hand, the increase in the number of victims is decreasing: 128 in the last 24 hours (yesterday they were 151) bringing the total to 37,338.
Overall, 525,787 infected with the virus - including victims and healed - are. Among the regions it is still Lombardy that has the highest number of new cases: 5,762, practically more than one new infected out of 4 is in the region most affected by the pandemic. Six other regions have four-digit increases: Campania (+2.590), Piedmont (+2.287), Tuscany (+ 1-.863), Lazio (+1.541), Veneto (+1.468) and Emilia Romagna (+1.192).
