Louane's joie de vivre, Fleetwood Mac's second youth and Koba laD's comeback. Bea Miller, Kevin Morby and Pelé complete our selection.

Discover our weekend playlist.

Koba LaD,

The rapper with the voice recognizable between miles returns with a new album, a year and a half after

L'affranchi

, certified platinum.

To accompany the release of

Détail

, the Dyonisien unveiled the clip of

Coffre Plein

, a song featuring with Maes and Zed from 13 Block.

The three rappers with marked flows indulge in a heady egotrip, on one of the best prods of the album.

On the way to repeat the success of his previous opus, Koba laD distributed CBD - a cannabis derivative without an active substance and legal in France - to his Parisian fans.

A promo almost like the others.

Surprising Louane

It will be necessary to count on Louane in the list of the great French artists.

The 23-year-old singer is not resting on her laurels with her third album entitled

Joie de vivre

and composed of 19 tracks all the same.

Louane wanted to structure his album as a real work, with an intro and no less than two interludes.

As for the titles, it is the explosion of genres.

While keeping his characteristic voice and soft melodies, the artist decided to experiment with other sounds.

More electronic, the album also borrows a lot from rap, creating more aggressive songs in its rhythm as with

Maybe

.

Not surprising to learn that Damso and Dinos participated in this album, even less when you listen to its title

All my life

in collaboration with Soolking.

Louane kicks and sings in a

Joy of Living

shared with his audience.

Once again, the singer hits the nail on the head.

Kevin Morby, fall melancholy

Kevin Morby's fall is haunting.

The young thirty-something recently returned to the Kansas City of his childhood after scouring New York and Los Angeles.

There, he composed a series of minimalist ballads.

They form

Sundowner,

the new album with very American folklore from the singer and guitarist.

Tinted with country, its folk pays homage to the Midwest.

It is with a 4-track recorder that Kevin Morby wrote these ten tender songs with ease, at the bottom of his garden.

He appears there as a “

sundowner

” (the one who becomes melancholy at nightfall) and pays homage to his dead friends.

Sundowner can be

listened to without a hitch, in one go, like the mood record he is: an intimate guitar / voice that establishes Kevin Morby's storytelling aura.

Joel Ross's good vibes

A much sought-after vibraphonist, heard alongside Marquis Hill, Makaya McCraven and Kassa Overall, Joel Ross has confirmed the hopes placed in him over the past two years.

At 25, he released a second album for Blue Note.

With his saxophonist Immanuel Wilkins, he embodies the new generation of American jazz (from Chicago, where he comes from, New York, where he lives) supported by the label.

Generous (15 titles),

Who are you ?,

brings together his faithful quintet Good Vibes: a rhythm section (piano, bass, drums, vibraphone) augmented by a saxophonist.

And for good reason, the rhythms of

Who are you make you

dizzy.

Movable, omnipresent, they give his music a fascinating density.

Joel Ross brings group improvisation to intricate terrains, with this facility to make his luminous harmonies sing.

A quality he shares with the trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire, one of his mentors and composer of

Vartha

, a title taken up by Joel Ross in the album.

Kiko Dinucci's broken guitar

"

My experiences in the São Paulo punk rock / hardcore scene of the 90s, the samba scene and in Candombles religious activities have shaped the way I play

."

Kiko Dinucci's past is the wealth of

Rastilho,

his new album released on October 16 on the label Mais Um.

The hyperactive guitarist of the Paulist underground embarks on broken melodies, all in raw guitar and bewitching choirs.

So goes the percussive playing of the guitarist, more inhabited than delicate.

The co-founder of the afro-punk-jazz trio Metá Metá enjoys energetic riffs with rough edges.

Still less restless and avant-garde than what he has been able to show in the past, Kiko Dinucci explores his love for Afro-samba with a certain sweetness in this guitar record.

The lyrics honor the revolutionary figures of Brazil.

Pelé, feet and golden voice

On Friday, ex-Brazilian footballer Pelé celebrated his 80th birthday.

“I wrote a lot of books, I scored a lot of goals, I had kids, I planted a lot of trees.

The only thing I miss is a musical memory from my life, ”he

explains.

It is now done.

In 2005, he wrote a song,

Acredita No Veio

, alongside jazz musician Ruria Duprat.

Fifteen years and a meeting with the duo Rodrygo y Gabriela later, the legend of the Seleção gives his fans a gift by singing the song, not without a certain talent.

“I wrote this song because when I was playing with Santos the coach said that when we lost it was the players' fault, but when we won it was macumba.

The song jokes about it, ”

says the man with more than a thousand goals and holder of three World Cups.

Parabéns “O Rei”.

Fleetwood Mac back on the charts

The magic of the internet has struck again.

Dropped by his car, an American TikTok user filmed himself skateboarding to work.

With a bottle of cranberry juice in hand, the father of the family had the good idea to play back the song Dreams by Fleetwood Mac.

Several million views later, the song, released in 1978, re-appeared on the Billboard 200, America's prestigious singles chart, climbing to seventh place this week.

The enthusiasm was such that some members of the group (Stevie Knicks, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood) paid tribute to the Internet user at the origin of their success.

NB

Bea Miller, a small but powerful EP

The 21-year-old American singer never stops.

After releasing her seventh EP on September 25, 2020, she returns a month later with an eighth production.

In this new EP titled

Elated!

, seven pieces merge into its characteristic style which never ceases to evolve.

Carried by the title

Wisdom Teeth

, mixing electronic music and moderate tempo,

Elated!

is far from being a homogeneous work.

Feel something different

with the artist Aminé is a good example.

Much more sustained, this cover of one of the singer's hits is given a new energy even more dynamic than its predecessor, a real success.

To end in style, Bea Miller decided to end his EP with a dreamlike and choral title,

self crucify

.

The artist proves once again that she knows how to handle her scores and manages to deliver a palette of emotions in just seven small tracks.

A real performance.
